Family days out in Surrey. Alice Holt Forest, outside of Farnham, offers a wonderful day out with cycle trails, woodland walks and now includes the Zog trail.
The Alice Holt Forest has brought one of our much-loved stories to life. If you go for an adventure through the Zog trail, you will meet lots of familiar characters hiding in the forest.
The trail that opened on January 11th 2019 is sure to delight any little fans of the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s favourite. You can also add to the trail’s excitement by purchasing a Zog activity pack from the visitor centre, these cost £3 each. The pack contains a special lens which will reveal some hidden pictures along the trail, an activity booklet and a Zog mask to help your little ones get into character and feel part of the story.
If the weather's nice, there's no need to end your trip there. Alice Holt has a large picnic and bbq area so you could also take some lunch to enjoy on your visit and make a day of it.
If that's not enough to wear your little ones out, you could round off the day with a climb around the pirate ship in the playwood area, where the children are sure to use up whatever energy they have left.
Alice Holt Forest is about a 30 minute drive from our nursery location, but this is definitely one you could make a day of.
There is parking available, but it is pay parking.
We'd love to hear from you with other great ideas for family days out!
