An Easter Egg hunt with a difference

Looking for ideas for Easter activities for toddlers? Have a look at our twist on an Easter egg hunt. 

While we're getting our nursery in Farncombe ready for opening later this year, we thought we'd give you some ideas of things to do with your little ones! 

Let your imagination run wild with this twist on an Easter egg hunt...

This game can be tailored slightly to what your child will enjoy and also to suit their age but will definitely get your child's imagination and creativity going. 

What you will need:

• Plastic Easter eggs, if you happen to have any left from Easter. If not, colourful paper or post-it notes will work perfectly.
• A pen.
• Small squares of paper big enough to write a short sentence.
• Your imagination.

It may help if you pick a theme for this game. For example, we will use animals.

Steps

1. Once you've picked your theme, you’ll need to come up with some movements you can recreate that go with it. For example, for an animal theme you could do, Waddle like a penguin or Roar like a lion. If you are playing with smaller children, you can adapt the game for them and print pictures of animals instead. Prompting them to act like the animal they find.
   
   
2. Place one piece of paper inside the egg if you have them and then hide them around the area you intend to play this game.
