At Toddletown nursery in Godalming, we value the role that festivals and celebrations play in supporting children’s learning and development. While at Toddletown, children will get the opportunity to explore lots of different festivals and celebrations.
One of the ways we celebrate diversity and the world’s festivals is with art. Diwali, the Indian festival of light, is celebrated today so we will honour the occasion with fireworks painting!

Pre-cut toilet paper roll (older children could work on their scissor skills and do this part with supervision)

We put different paint colours in different plates and using pre-cut toilet paper roll (older children can cut the paper roll by themselves) we stamp and twist the paper roll with paint on the black card making colourful firework patterns.
